Chennai: A major plane crash was averted, yet another Air India flight narrowly avoided a major accident. An Air India flight flying from Colombo to Chennai was hit by a bird.
As a result, the flight was canceled and an emergency landing was made. There were 158 passengers on board. Similarly, an IndiGo flight flying from Delhi to Prayagraj was diverted to Lucknow.
According to reports, a bird hit Air India flight AI-273 (A320 VT-TNH) flying from Chennai to Colombo. As a result, the plane made an emergency landing at Colombo Airport at 1.55 am. After making an emergency landing, the plane was cleared to take off, but the plane did not take off.
Then, after arriving from Colombo to Chennai at 4.34 am, the technical team checked and found that a fan blade was jammed. The airline says that the plane will be used after being grounded and thoroughly inspected.
Similarly, another IndiGo flight has been diverted to Lucknow. It was going from Delhi to Prayagraj. But due to an exercise by the Indian Air Force, it was diverted to Lucknow.
It is worth noting that an Air India flight crashed on June 12. The plane was going to London. Out of the 142 passengers on board, 141 people lost their lives.
