AM/NS India celebrates Van Mahotsav at Paradeep

Paradeep, July 9, 2025: ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India (AM/NS India) celebrated
Van Mahotsav 2025 with a series of impactful plantation drives at Paradeep, reinforcing
its commitment to environmental sustainability and community engagement.
As part of the celebrations, a mass plantation drive was conducted under this year’s
theme, “Ek Paudha Maa Ke Naam 2.0.” Employees and associates came together to
plant a diverse range of saplings, contributing to the green cover within the pellet plant
premises.
On July 7, 2025, a plantation programme was held at Paradeepgarh High School,
organised by the Kujanga Forest Range team in collaboration with AM/NS India. The
event was graced by Shri Sampad Chandra Swain, Hon’ble Minister of State
(Independent Charge), Industries, Skill Development and Technical Education,
Government of Odisha, as the Chief Guest along with Smt. Sasmita Behera, Sarpanch,
Paradeepgarh, Shri Kartikeswar Khandei, Deputy Range Officer, Kujanga, Shri Sanjay
Behera, Senior Advocate, Shri U.S.R. Raju, Plant Head, Paradeep Pellet Plant, AM/NS
India, Shri Ch. Hariprasad, Head, Operations, Paradeep Pellet Plant, AM/NS India and
other officers from the company. The dignitaries planted fruit-bearing saplings within the
school premises.
The event also saw enthusiastic participation of the school’s staff, teachers, and
students, who also learnt about the importance of environmental stewardship. These
initiatives reflect AM/NS India’s unwavering dedication to fostering a greener, cleaner,
and more sustainable future.
