AM/NS India honored with “Outstanding Champion” Award for Water Management Excellence

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Operations of ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India (AM/NS India) has
won the prestigious “Champion (Outstanding) Award” in the ‘Water Management’ category
under the Steel Sector at the 19th EXCEED Environment Award 2025, held in Bhubaneswar on
October 31, 2025. This recognition celebrates the company’s exemplary efforts in sustainable
water management practices, contributing significantly to environmental stewardship and
corporate responsibility.
Dr. Bhaskar Chatterjee, Former Secretary, Govt. of India and Chairman, National Committee for
Formulation of Indian National ESG Standards along with Smt. Pranavi Luthra, Vice President,
EKDKN presented the award to Mr. Suvendu Kumar Dash, Head, Environment & Sustainability,
AM/NS India Odisha and Shri Debadatta Das, Incharge, Environment & Sustainability, AM/NS
India Paradeep in a function hosted by the Sustainable Development Initiative (a unit of Ek
Kaam Desh Ke Naam), a leading NGO championing social and environmental causes since
2007.
On the occasion, Shri Suresha G, Chief, Odisha Operations, AM/NS India, said, “At AM/NS
