Bhubaneswar, January06, 2025: Seven athletes from the Odisha AM/NS India Kho Kho
High-Performance Centre (HPC) representedOdisha and Maharashtra teamsat the
prestigious School Games Federation of India (SGFI) Under-17 National Championship
held recently in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh. The Odisha Girls team have made the state
proud by securing a bronze medal in the tournament.
The Odisha Girls team included five athletes from the HPC -Bhagyashree Nayak, Ashika
Kujur, Archana Pradhan, RaktimaBhandaa, and Lisarani Raita. They displayed remarkable
strength, skill, and dedication throughout the tournament. Their achievements stem from
the intensive training and expert guidance they received at the HPC, where they refined
their talents using advanced training techniques.
Adding to thestature of the HPC, Sharad Ghatge and Uday
PadalkarrepresentingMaharashtra,played pivotal roles in their team's silver medal victory
in the tournament.Notably, Uday Padalkar was awarded the prestigious Best Defender
Award for the tournament, a testament to his consistent and exceptional defensive skills
and crucial contributions to his team's success.
Earlier last year, eleven athletes from the HPC had represented Odisha in the Junior
National Kho Kho Championship 2024 winningrunners up position in both Odisha Boys
and Girls teams. These achievements at the national level speak volumes about the
quality of training and coaching being provided at the Odisha AM/NS India Kho Kho High-
Performance Centre.
