Bhubaneswar: Planning is being made to extend the Bhubaneswar Metro rail project up to either Cuttack Bus stand or SCB Medical College and Hospital, said Housing and Urban Development Minister of Odisha on Thursday. As per reports, the upcoming Metro Rail project of Bhubaneswar was initially planned to run from Bhubaneswar Airport to Trishulia in Cuttack district. However, now planning is being made to extend this ambitious project up to either Cuttack Bus Stand or if possible up to SCB Medical College, he said. The Minister said that a new committee has been formed to analyse this and that is being studied now. Once, the extension gets green signal a new DPR will come soon. The metro will be built with the cooperation of not only the state government but also the central government, he further added. The government has taken such a decision for the convenience of the people, he also said.
