Bomb Blast / Five Injured In Bhubaneswar Bomb Explosion, Police Investigation Begins

Bhubaneswar, Jan 27: At least five people, including three women, sustained severe injuries when a bomb exploded on the roof of a house in Sundarpada’s New Azad Nagar locality here in Odisha on Tuesday.The blast, which occurred while the explosive was being handled, triggered panic in the residential area.After getting information, a police team from the Airfield Police station rushed to the scene, cordoning off the site and beginning preliminary investigations. Two fire tenders were deployed to control the situation, officials saidThe injured were immediately rushed to the Capital Hospital here for treatment. Two of them were reportedly critical.Authorities are working to determine the source of the explosive and whether it was locally assembled. Residents expressed concern over safety in the locality, urging swift action to prevent recurrence.
