New Delhi, 5/1:The Supreme Court on Monday denied bail to activist Umar Khalid and Sharjeel Imam in the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act case linked to the 2020 north-east Delhi riots, saying that a prima facie case is attracted against them under the UAPA.
Umar Khalid and Sharjeel Imam stand on a different footing when compared to the other accused, the bench said. The bench, however, granted bail to activists Gulfisha Fatima, Meeran Haider, Shifa Ur Rehman, Mohd. Saleem Khan, and Shadab Ahmad in Delhi.
