On Tuesday morning, while returning after handing out invitations in Ghusuramunda under Chandanimahal Gram Panchayat, their bike lost control and rammed into a tree.Both siblings were rushed to the District Headquarters Hospital in Jharsuguda in critical condition. Doctors declared Hirabati dead on arrival. Due to the serious nature of his injuries, Niranjan was later shifted to Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (VIMSAR), Burla, for specialised treatment.Family in ShockThe tragic incident has cast a pall of gloom over the family, as preparations were underway for Hirabati’s wedding.
