CBI Picks Up Mahanadi Coalfields Chief General Manager Akhilesh Verma

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) picked up Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL) Chief General Manager Akhilesh Verma on Thursday afternoon. The CBI team has taken him to its Bhubaneswar office for questioning, informed sources. According to sources, Verma was allegedly caught red-handed while accepting a bribe of ₹30,000. The investigation is currently underway.
