Goods train engine leaves 7 wagons stranded in Odisha’s Balasore district

Soro: A peculiar incident occurred in the Balasore district of Odisha today when a goods train engine detached from 7 wagons and continued on its journey, leaving the wagons stranded near the Bana railway gate.As per reports, the incident took place around 12 noon as the coal-laden train was moving on the down line from Bhadrak to Balasore.According to sources, the 7 wagons came to a halt near the Banas railway gate of Markona Railway station, causing inconvenience to people in the area for long. However, after about half an hour, the engine returned and rejoined the wagons, taking them to their destination.Fortunately, no casualties or major damage were reported in the incident.
