Health Minister Mukesh Mahaling visits diarrhoea patients at Jajpur DHH

Jajpur: Health Minister Mukesh Mahaling visited Jajpur medical this morning to inspect the condition of diarrhoea patients here. He inspected several hospitals and the Jajpur DHH. The Health and Family Welfare Minister Mukesh Mahaling, Jajpur MP and Badachana and Dharmasala MLA along with the District Collector and SP visited several hospitals and the District headquarters Hospital (DHH) today. The deadly waterborne disease is spreading rapidly in the district. The death tally has reached 13 and two people died on Sunday. Over 700 people have been infected by the disease. A 14-membered central team also arrived in Jajpur to inspect the ground situation. Officials and doctors from ICMR, NCDC and WHO have arrived for the inspection. Public Health Director Nilakantha Mishra and Health Secretary Aswathy S are also scheduled to visit Jajpur. As many as 11 Cholera cases have also been identified. The lresidents have been suggested not to use unhygienic food and water. The water reservoirs will also be bleached and sanitised.
