Indian Railways Celebrates Excellence at the 70th Ati Vishisht Rail Seva Puraskar–2025

Bhubaneswar, January 09, 2026:Indian Railways honoured 100 outstanding employees and officers with the prestigious 70th Ati Vishisht Rail Seva Puraskar–2025 at a grand ceremony held at the India International Convention & Expo Centre (Yashobhoomi), Dwarka, New Delhi. The awards were presented by the Union Minister for Railways, Information & Broadcasting, and Electronics & Information Technology, Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw, in the presence of the Minister of State for Railways & Jal Shakti, Shri V. Somanna, the Minister of State for Railways & Food Processing Industries, Shri Ravneet Singh, the Chairman & CEO of Railway Board, Shri Satish Kumar, Members of the Railway Board, and General Managers of various Railway Zones and Production Units.

East Coast Railway has brought laurels to the organisation, with its officers and staff being honoured at the prestigious 70th Ati Vishisht Rail Seva Puraskar–2025 ceremony. Among the individual awardees, Shri S. Srinivas Rao, Deputy Chief Signal and Telecommunication Engineer; Shri Sakal Deo Rana, Loco Pilot (Goods–Electrical); and Shri Amit Rohidas, Assistant Sports Officer, from East Coast Railway were recognised for their exemplary service and commitment to excellence.

Alongside individual awards, 26 Shields were presented to the best-performing Railway Zones across various categories, recognising their remarkable contributions towards enhancing efficiency, safety, and passenger experience in Indian Railways. Notably, East Coast Railway was honoured with the prestigious Coaching Maintenance Shield.

The award ceremony served as a platform to acknowledge and celebrate the dedication, hard work, and exceptional contributions of Railway personnel in making Indian Railways a more efficient, safe, and passenger-friendly organisation.
