Jatni: In a shocking and gruesome incident, a youth was called from his house and allegedly murdered in Khordha district of Odisha yesterday night. The gruesome incident took place in front of the Adarsha Vidyalaya in Sandhapur area under Jatni Police Station limits. The deceased has been identified as Manas Dalei of Vikas Nagar under Jatni Police limits. As per reports, the youth was called from his house yesterday night. Later the miscreants allegedly attacked him with sword in front of the Adarsha Vidyalaya in Jatni. As a result of the attack he was killed on the spot. However, the accused persons are yet to be identified. It has been suspected that the murder has taken place over drug trafficking and land grabbing. It has also been learnt that there were a few cases in different police stations in the name of the deceased. Police have shifted the body to AIIMS while further investigation of the case is underway. Zone 3 ACP Tapas Pradhan had reached the spot initiated investigation. The police are analysing the CCTV footage in the vicinity while family members of the deceased are being questioned to reach the accused persons. Police are now investigating who called Manas form house from the house and who was with him. Further probe of the case is underway.
