Keonjhar: A man who was arrested by Harichandanpur Police on charges of raping a minor girl was awarded 20 years of jail term by a local court in Keonjhar district on Friday. One Kanhu Naik, who was working at a girl’s hotel as a cook, had reportedly raped a 7-year-old girl in 2023. The incident came to light when the girl’s mother spotted some injury marks on her chest and suspected something fishy. Upon learning that her minor daughter was raped, the woman filed a complaint against Kanhu at Harichandanpur Police station, following which he was arrested and forwarded to the court.
