In a shocking incident, a man has been accused of murdering his mother by allegedly forcing her to consume poison at Chakeisap village under kamrda police limits in odisha s balasore district on Friday. The deceased has been identified as Padmabati Dalai, while the accused is her son, Laxmikanta Dalai. According to preliminary information, there had been ongoing family disputes between the mother and son for some time.As per allegations made by the nephew of the deceased, tensions escalated on Thursday night when Laxmikanta reportedly assaulted his mother and forced her out of the house. On the following morning, the accused allegedly dropped his wife at her parental home and returned to his residence. It is then claimed that he forcibly fed poison to his mother inside the house. Shortly after the incident, Padmabati succumbed.After learning about the incident, family members and villagers overpowered the accused, tied him to a tree, and informed the police. Upon receiving information, Kamarda police reached the spot, rescued the accused, and took him into custody.
