MCL hosts Consumer Meet 2026, reinforces Consumer-Centric Approach.

CMD reiterates commitment to quality coal supply, efficient despatch and transparent, technology-driven operations.
Sambalpur:(Correspondent):- Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL) under the chairmanship of  Shri Uday Anant Kaole, CMD, MCL organised Consumer Meet-2026 at the company headquarters, reinforcing its commitment to consumer satisfaction, transparency and collaborative growth under the theme “Partnering for Progress: MCL’s Commitment to Consumer Satisfaction.” The meet served as an important platform for meaningful interaction between MCL and its valued consumers.
CMD Shri Kaole, in his address, reiterated that consumers remain at the heart of MCL’s operational philosophy. He highlighted MCL’s significant investments in rail and road infrastructure, First Mile Connectivity (FMC) projects and mechanised systems to ensure seamless coal evacuation and enhanced efficiency in despatch. He emphasised on MCL’s focused efforts towards ensuring quality coal supply, timely despatch and efficient service delivery.
Shri Keshav Rao, Director (HR); Shri A.K. Behura, Director (Finance); Shri S.K. Jha, Director (Technical); Area General Managers, Head of Departments and senior officials of MCL were also present on this occasion reflecting the organisation’s leadership driven approach to consumer centric operations.
The meeting focussed on detailed discussions on strengthening coal supply chain, mining operations and labour management to coal despatch and delivery mechanisms. Marketing & Sales and Quality Control Departments highlighted MCL’s key achievements, improvements in operational performance and use of advanced tech such as deployment of mechanical augers, installation of automatic mechanical coal samplers, quality monitoring systems and others. Consumers were also made aware of MCL’s digital Consumer Feedback System accessible through a QR code, enabling transparent, real-time feedback and efficient grievance redressal. Consumers widely appreciated MCL for its consistent coal quality, timely despatch and customer-centric approach.
Top management and representatives of coal consumers such as Jindal Power Limited, Adani Group, NTPC, APGENCO, Hindalco, Haldia Energy Limited and many others actively participated in the meet. They shared valuable insights and provided constructive feedback underscoring confidence in MCL’s responsiveness and approach
