MLAs Tara Bahinipati and Ramesh Jena of Congress suspended from Odisha Assembly for 7 days

Bhubaneswar: Two more Congress MLAs have been suspended from Odisha Assembly. Congress MLAs Tara Prasad Bahinipati and Ramesh Jena have been suspended from Assembly for 7 days for disrupting proceedings of the House. As per reports, despite repeated warning by the Speaker, both these MLAs beat ‘ghanta’ inside the house. Accordingly, high noise got created making no voice audible. Hence, Speaker Surama Padhy suspended the two MLAs from the House for disrupting proceedings of the House. It is to be noted that yesterday, 12 Congress MLAs were suspended as they had created unnecessary noise inside the Assembly by playing different musical instruments including cymbal, pipe organ, flute and ‘ghanta’ thereby disrupting proceedings of the House. The Speaker suspended the remaining two MLAs today. So far, all 14 Congress MLAs have been suspended from the House for 7 days. According to reports, the Speaker suspended 12 Congress MLAs Ramachandra Kadam, CS Rajan Ekka, Dasharathi Gamang, Ashok Das, Satyajit Gamang, Sagar Das, Prafulla Pradhan, Mangu Khil, Piyushta Saunta, Kadraka Appalaswamy, Sophia Firdous and Neelamadhav Hikkaka after they repeatedly behaved unruly inside the House yesterday.
