Bhubaneswar, :The Odisha State Road Transport Corporation (OSRTC) today inaugurated a modern and well-equipped office canteen at its Corporate Office, Paribahan Bhavan, Bhubaneswar. The canteen was formally inaugurated by Smt. Usha Padhee, Principal Secretary, Commerce & Transport Department, in the presence of Shri N. B. S. Rajput, Chairman-cum-Managing Director, OSRTC, and Shri Amitav Thakur, Transport Commissioner, State Transport Authority, Odisha.
The inauguration of the canteen marks an important step in OSRTC’s ongoing efforts to strengthen employee welfare by providing a clean, hygienic and comfortable dining facility for its officers and staff. The initiative is aimed at enhancing workplace convenience while fostering a healthy and positive work environment.
The canteen has been developed with modern kitchen infrastructure to ensure hygienic and efficient food preparation. It includes a well-ventilated dining area with adequate natural lighting and a seating capacity of over 20 persons. A varied menu featuring popular North and South Indian dishes will be available, catering to breakfast, lunch, snacks and beverages.
Speaking on the occasion, the dignitaries noted that the canteen would serve as a shared space for interaction, promoting camaraderie among employees and contributing to improved work-life balance.
The canteen will remain operational from 9:30 AM to 7:00 PM on all working days.
Among others present were Shri Saroj Rout, Additional Secretary; Shri Kaustuva Dipta Pany, Joint Secretary & Commissioner (Rail Coordination); Shri Sanjay Kumar Biswal, General Manager, OSRTC; and Smt. Debadutta Suranjita Jena, Special Secretary, Commerce & Transport Department, along with senior officers of OSRTC and the Commerce & Transport Department.
