New Zealand enter final for second time in T20 World Cup

Kolkata, 4/3: In the T20 World Cup 2026, we have our first final contender as New Zealand beat South Africa by nine wickets at the crucial semifinal clash at Eden Gardens. All thanks to Tim Seifert and Finn Allen’s explosive partnership which was more than 100 runs and took game away from the Proteas. Finn Allen is the hero of the match as he smashed a super century in just 33 balls. He scored 100 runs not out in 33 balls with a strike rate of 303.03.

The century by Finn Allen was the fastest ever across all editions of T20 World Cup, it was an exhibition of brute masculinity that Eden Gardens has ever witnessed. Taking out the front foot, Finn Allen practised range hitting like big hitters as the balls soared into the orbit and disappeared in thin air.
