Dhamra, 20.09.2025: On the occasion of International Coastal Cleanup Day, Dhamra Port initiated a coastal cleaning campaign at the jetty near Maa Dhamrai Temple. Employees of the port actively participated in clearing waste from the passenger boat jetty area. The effort highlights the importance of cleanliness for the safety and hygiene of local commuters. Odisha’s 480 km Bay of Bengal coastline, stretching across six districts—Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Puri and Ganjam—is a vital ecological and economic asset. It supports rich marine biodiversity, including the endangered Olive Ridley turtle, while sustaining fisheries, tourism and agriculture-based livelihoods.
