NTPC Eastern Region II Celebrates 79th Independence Day with Patriotic Fervour

Bhubaneswar, :NTPC Eastern Region II Headquarters celebrated the 79th Independence Day with great
enthusiasm and patriotic spirit at Pokhariput, Bhubaneswar, the event was marked by the
participation of senior officials, employees, and their family members, creating an
atmosphere of unity and pride.
The celebrations commenced with the hoisting of the National Flag by Shri Arindam Sinha,
Regional Executive Director (ER-II), who also graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. In his
inspiring address, Shri Sinha underscored the significance of national integrity, NTPC’s
pivotal role in powering the nation, and the unwavering commitment of its workforce. He
also shared notable milestones and achievements of Eastern Region II, highlighting the
region's growing contribution to India’s energy security. The flag hoisting was followed by
the ceremonial release of tricolour balloons, symbolizing the spirit of freedom and hope.
The event continued with a vibrant cultural programme presented by the children of NTPC
employees. Their performances including dance, patriotic songs, and a colourful fancy dress
show beautifully showcased India’s rich cultural heritage and evoked a deep sense of
patriotism among the audience. The celebration also featured a prize distribution ceremony,
where winners of various competitions organized by ER-II were felicitated.
The celebration at NTPC ER-II not only honoured India’s journey of independence but also
reinforced the organization’s commitment to nation-building, excellence, and unity.
The event concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks delivered by Shri Dheeraj
Kumar Gupta AGM (HR), who appreciated the dedication of the organizers,
participants, and the entire NTPC family. He noted that such celebrations not only
foster patriotic pride but also strengthen the spirit of unity and excellence within the
organization.
