Odisha Chief Secretary Reviews Paradip Port Development Plans

Odisha Chief Secretary, Smt. Anu Garg visited the Administrative Building of Paradip Port Authority (PPA), where Chairman Shri P. L. Haranadh, IRTS, briefed her on key infrastructural and technological developments.The discussions highlighted major maritime initiatives, including the proposed Bahuda Satellite Port, the upcoming Puri Cruise Terminal to promote coastal tourism, and the Shipbuilding Cluster at Kendrapara. Broader strategies for port-led development in Odisha were also reviewed.The Chief Secretary expressed satisfaction over Paradip Port’s cargo growth and appreciated its expansion plans. She emphasised the importance of these projects in strengthening Odisha’s maritime economy and boosting employment opportunities.Deputy Chairman Shri T. Venu Gopal and senior officials of PPA were present during the meeting. The engagement reaffirmed the State’s commitment to leveraging Paradip Port as a driver of industrial growth, tourism, and shipbuilding capacity.
