OHPC OBSERVES VIGILANCE AWARENESS WEEK-2025

Bhubaneswar : Odisha Hydro Power Corporation Ltd. (OHPC), a Gold Rated State PSU, is observing the
Vigilance Awareness Week–2025 across its Corporate Office and Units located at various parts of the
State from 27 th October to 2 nd November 2025, in alignment with the nationwide initiative led by the
Central Vigilance Commission (CVC). The observance commenced with the Integrity Pledge
administered at 11:00 AM on 27 th October 2025 across all Units and Offices of OHPC. At the
Corporate Office, the pledge was administered by Shri Pranab Kumar Mohanty, Director (Finance), in
the presence of Shri Sandeep Patnaik, Director (HR), Shri Amiya Kumar Mohanty, Director
(Operation) I/c, senior officers, and employees. Banners and posters highlighting the theme of
vigilance were displayed at prominent locations in the office premises to promote awareness among
all employees.

As part of the observance, an Awareness Programme was organised at the OHPC Training
Centre, Bhubaneswar, on 1 st November 2025. Shri M. Akhaya, IPS (Retd.), former Director General
of Police, Government of Odisha, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The event was attended by
Shri Sandeep Patnaik, Director (HR), and other senior officials of OHPC.

Addressing the gathering, Shri M. Akhaya emphasized the need for fostering a corruption-
free environment at both individual and organizational levels. Drawing from his rich experience in
public service, he highlighted the far-reaching consequences of corruption on society and urged all to
uphold integrity in every sphere of work.

In his inaugural address, Director (HR) reiterated OHPC’s strong commitment to
maintaining transparency and accountability in all administrative processes. He also mentioned that
vigilance-related training programmes are conducted regularly to create awareness about
whistleblower policy, and ensuring transparency in the workplace.

To mark the occasion, Essay and Slogan Competitions were organized among employees

at the Corporate Office and Training Centre. The winners of the Slogan Competition were:
1. 1 st Prize – Shri Samir Mahapatra, DGM (El.)
2. 2 nd Prize – Shri Sushree Chandan Panda, Manager (El.)
3. 3 rd Prize – Shri Madhab Ch. Barik, DM (El.)
The winners were felicitated with mementoes and gifts, and all participants of the Essay
Competition were presented with prizes as a token of appreciation to encourage active participation.
A Nukkad Natak on the theme “Vigilance: Our Shared Responsibility” was performed by
the employees of OHPC, which was highly appreciated by the audience for its impactful message on
integrity and ethical conduct. The week-long observance reaffirmed OHPC’s unwavering
commitment to promoting transparency, accountability, and good governance in all its operations.
