SUBARNAPUR, 11/2 —A stabbing incident has taken place in Binika Nuapada, in Subarnapur district. One person died and two others were seriously injured in the stabbing. According to information, on 10/02/2026 at around 10.35 pm, Shambhu Meher of Nuapada, Binika town, was stabbed to death by three accused near Charan shop and left in a bloody state. Shambhu Meher (34) was taken to Binika Community Health Center by his brother and complainant Goutam Meher (26) in an ambulance with the help of locals. The doctor declared him dead there. The two critically injured were shifted to Burla Medical , while one person has been detained by Binika police. Binika Harijan Pada’s Rakesh Veshara, Amit Varasagar and another minor have been named as accused. The three people from Harijan Pada attacked Shambhu Meher of Nuapada. Shambhu Meher died in the attack while Rakesh Veshara is in police custody out of the three accused. In this regard, a case has been registered under Binika PS case No. 26/ dt. 11/02/2026 U/s -103(I)/3(5) BNS Act and the police is further investigating.
