OPHWC Dy Manager’s Bribe Empire Exposed: 29 Plots, Two Buildings, Gold & Rs 48L Cash Seized During Raids

Bhubaneswar: OPHWC Deputy Manager of the Sambalpur Division Bidyut Ranjan Bhol’s assets worth crores are being unearthed in ongoing searches.

According to vigilance reports, the latest findings include 29 plots in Jatni, Berhampur, and other locations, 2 multi-storeyed buildings, one flat at Kalinga Vihar in Bhubaneswar, gold weighing 1.140Kg (including 6 gold coins and 2 gold biscuits), and cash Rs. 48,79,100/-. Bhol is being brought to Bhubaneswar for further searches.It is pertinent to mention that the vigilance team had earlier intercepted Bhol near Sambalpur Railway Station with Rs 5 lakh in suspected bribe money, and another Rs 5 lakh was recovered from his Bhubaneswar residence. Two trunks containing approximately 70 bundles of Rs 500 denomination notes were also found at his sister’s residence in Chandrasekharpur.
