Plastic Free Forest Eater Campaign-2026 successfully organized at the Forest Eater’s Place at Pitapali, Sambalpur

Sambalpur:(Correspondent):- In a strong move towards environmental protection and promoting sustainable lifestyle, Odisha State Pollution Control Board (OSPCB), Regional Office Sambalpur and Aditya Aluminium, Lapanga in collaboration with Sanur Pitapali Forest Eater’s Place, Plastic Free Forest Eater Campaign-2026 was successfully organized at the beautiful Pitapali Forest Eater’s Place near Hirakud Dam. Around 100 students of Lapanga Higher Secondary School participated enthusiastically in the campaign, turning the popular forest eater’s place into a vibrant platform for environmental awareness and action. As part of the program, an awareness walk was organized to spread the message of a single-use plastic-free environment.  Along with this, an interesting environment and quiz was held highlighting the importance of cleanliness, responsible waste management and protection of the natural environment. The event included a pledge recitation in which the students promised to adopt eco-friendly practices and inspire others to lead a sustainable lifestyle. The aim of the initiative was to reduce plastic pollution in tourist and wildlife destinations and to make the younger generation aware of their role in protecting the environment. Odisha State Pollution Control Officer Sambalpur Regional Officer Dr. S. N. Nanda, Eng. Rakesh Panda and Smt. A.K. Minj were present at the event.  On behalf of Aditya Aluminium, CPP Head Mr. Gulshan Tiwari, CPP Manager Head Mr. Nimai Mohapatra, Environment Head Mr. Lalit Charan, Shri Bhabha Ranjan Nayak, Shri Manoranjan Sai, CSR Head Mr. Ravi Niwas, Deputy Manager Mr. Manoranjan Behera and other employees actively participated. Tourists present at the Pitapali forest eatery also joined the campaign.
A Clean, Green Future The program inaugurated the importance of avoiding the use of single-use plastic, preserving natural forest eateries and adopting sustainable practices in daily life. Plastic Free Forest Eater Campaign-2026 ended with a strong message of collective responsibility to create a clean, green and plastic free environment.
