PM fasal bima yojana: Government increases allocation amount, modification to be made for smooth functioning

Good news for farmers in the new year. The central government has increased the PM Fasal Bima yojana allocation amount with additional subsidies to farmers. The decision was approved in the cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has informed that the PM Fasal Bima allocation: has been increased to Rs 69,515 crore. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made many schemes for the development of agriculture and farmers. Insurance is included as a major scheme in this. This will benefit  as many as four crore farmers. The benefits of Fasal Bima Yojana will also be available to small farmers. Fasal Bima Yojana will be given to farmers on a new level. Due to this scheme, the condition of farmers will improve. This scheme of the UPA government is not working properly for the farmers. Therefore, its rules and regulations will be amended to simplify the Fasal Bima Yojana. Arrangements will be made to get crop insurance at a cheaper price and under easy rules. Similarly, the government has approved a special package for companies producing DAP fertilizers. Apart from the subsidy, the government will also provide financial assistance to the companies. It has been decided to offer DAP fertilizer at Rs 1350. The price of which was Rs 3000. A subsidy of Rs 3850 crore will be given for this. In addition, the cabinet has decided to provide additional subsidies to farmers in all other areas. The government has approved this package till December 31, 2025. It is worth noting that India imports a large part of the total DAP. Imports are mainly from countries like China, Saudi Arabia and Morocco. The price of DAP increases due to the increase in the price of raw materials in the international market. In such a situation, the government is providing subsidies to provide relief to farmers.
