The government instructed modifications in the Vahan portal to reflect the updated policy.Motorists expressed relief after the withdrawal, as the earlier directive faced widespread criticism and legal challenges. Citizens argued that denying fuel created unnecessary hardship and confusion. The High Court’s intervention prompted the government to revise its stance.The decision ensures that vehicle owners will not face restrictions at petrol stations. At the same time, officials emphasised the importance of pollution control compliance.
