Scooter loaded truck catches fire near Ganjam, more than 30 vehicles burnt

Chhatrapur: A fire broke out in a scooter loaded truck container on the National Highway near Ganjam district of Odisha said reliable reports in this regard on Friday. According to reports, the fire brigade reached the spot immediately and doused the fire. However, as many as 30 scooters in the truck were reduced to ashes.Further it is worth mentioning that,  the container was carrying scooters from Pratapgarh in Delhi to Sampantha in Andhra Pradesh. At this time, the incident took place near the Ujjwaleshwari Temple on the bypass near Chhatrapur.The container caught fire all of a sudden. On receiving information about this, the fire brigade immediately reached the spot and doused the flames. However, most of the vehicles on the truck were affected, 30 of which were reduced to ashes.It is reported that the fire broke out due to a short circuit inside the container truck. This is a developing incident, further investigation is underway in  this matter. Detailed reports awaited.It is worth mentioning that last year in a similar incident, early in the morning an electric scooter showroom in Jajpur town of Odisha caught fire. The incident had been reported from Badachana police limits.All of a sudden Bharat Benz and the e-scooter showroom besides it caught fire. The showroom was situated besides the National Highway Number 16. The Chandikhol fire department reached the spot and doused the flames. The reason of the fire however is said to be an electrical short circuit.
