Today i.e. on 19.08.2025, Sri Kumuda Chandra Pradhan, Former Asst. Engineer (Estimator), office of Executive Engineer, Lift Irrigation Division, Balasore (Retired), who was charge sheeted by Odisha Vigilance U/s 13(2) r/w 13(1)(d)/7 PC Act, 1988 for demanding and taking bribe Rs.10,000/- from a Contractor to process agreement paper in connection with issue of work order, was convicted by Hon’ble Special Judge, Vigilance, Balasore and sentenced to undergo rigorous imprisonment for a period of 3 years and to pay fine of Rs.50,000/-.
Odisha Vigilance will now move the competent authority for stoppage of pension of Sri Kumuda Chandra Pradhan, Former Asst. Engineer (Estimator), office of Executive Engineer, Lift Irrigation Division, Balasore (Retired) following his conviction.
