Today i.e on 26.03.2025, a short while ago, Sri Sisir Kumar Naik , Amin, Kutra Tahasil, Dist-Sundargarh has been apprehended by Odisha Vigilance while demanding and taking bribe of Rs. 6,000/- from a Complainant to prepare sketch map for partition of ROR( PATTA) of the Complt. and his other brothers as per the order of the competent Court. Even after receipt of the Court order, the accused Amin, Sri Naik was demanding bribe Rs 10,000/- from the complt to prepare sketch map of land to be partitioned for issuance of separate RORs. But, Complt expressed his inability to pay the demanded bribe. On negotiation, Sri Naik, Amin reduced the bribe amount to Rs6,000/-. Complt being a poor man, and left with no option, approached the Vigilance authorities, alleging harassment by Sri Naik. Following which, Vigilance Officers nabbed the accused Sri Naik, Amin today, while taking bribe Rs 6,000/- from the complt. The entire bribe money has been recovered from the exclusive possession of accused Sri Naik and seized.
Following the trap, simultaneous searches are going on at two locations of Sri Naik from DA angle.
In this connection, Rourkela Vigilance PS Case No. 05 dt.25.03.2025, U/s 7 PC (Amendment) Act, 2018 has been registered. Investigation is in progress against accused Sri Naik, Amin.
