SUBARNAPUR,, 13/4— A huge quantity of ganja has been seized in various police stations of Subarnapur district.
On Monday (13.04.2026) at around 05 am, Subarnapur Police, after receiving information from a reliable source, conducted raids in various parts of the district as part of the “Nasa Mukti Odisha” campaign. After receiving information from a reliable source, a huge quantity of ganja was seized near Talapadar village by the Tarbha Police team and 02 suspects involved in this incident have been arrested. After this, a total of 139.142 kg. ganja, 01 mobile phones and a motor cycle have been seized in compliance with the prevailing provisions of the NDPS Act. According to the government assessment, the estimated value of the seized ganja will be Rs. 13,91,420/-. In this regard, a case has been registered under Tarva PS Case No.129 Dt.13.04.2026 U/s-20(ii)(b)(C)/29 NDPS Act.
In addition, on receiving information from a reliable source, a huge quantity of ganja has been seized by the Ulunda Police Team from the premises of Patra Farm House in Guja Village. 04 suspects have been detained in this incident. After this, a total of 853.715 kg. ganja, 01 truck, 04 four-wheelers and 04 motor cycles have been seized in compliance with the prevailing provisions of the NDPS Act. As per the official valuation, the estimated value of the seized ganja is Rs. 85,37,150/-. In this regard, Ulunda PS Case No. 66 Dt.13.04.2026 U/s-20(ii)(b)(C)/25/29 NDPS Act. A case has been registered in. Today, 992.857 kg. Ganja was seized in a special program of drug-free Odisha, whose estimated government value is about 01 crore and market value is about 10 crore. The investigation into the two cases is ongoing and action will be taken against other offenders as per the law, police sources said. This was informed by Supdt.
