Supreme Court modifies order, says stray dogs to be released after sterilisation, immunisation

New Delhi, 22/8: The Supreme Court on Friday modified its August 11 order where it had called for all stray dogs in the Delhi-NCR region to be rounded up and placed in animal shelters.

A three-judge bench of the apex court said today that stray dogs in Delhi-NCR which have neither been infected by rabies nor have been showing aggressive behaviour will be released to areas they were caught from after sterilisation and immmunisation.
