Chennai, 3/4: The Congress party on Friday announced their list of 27 candidates for the upcoming Tamil Nadu Assembly elections.
Congress state chief K Selvaperunthagai is set to contest from Sriperumbudur assembly constituency and former MP Dr A Chella Kumar has been given the Krishnagiri constituency.
In Tamil Nadu, Congress are in alliance with the ruling Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK), who are contesting in 164 of the 234 seats in the state. Earlier in the day, the BJP also announced a list of 27 candidates, fielding Union minister L Murugan from Avanashi seat and former Telangana governor Tamilisai Soundararajan from Mylapore.
