Train derails in Lahore of Pakistan, 30 passengers injured

Lahore: A train derailment in Lahore of Pakistan has left at least passengers injured. As many as seven bogies if a train derailed just half an hour after leaving its destination.According to reports, Pakistan Railways officials said on Saturday that several coaches of a train derailed near Lahore. The Islamabad Express, which was travelling from Lahore to Rawalpindi, derailed at Kala Shah Kaku in Sheikhpura, about 50 km from Lahore late Friday night.At least seven coaches of the train derailed in Sheikhpura, injuring about 30 passengers. Three of them are in critical condition, informed the  Pakistan Railways in an official statement.It is also worth noting that rescue teams have reached the spot and shifted the injured to a nearby hospital. Officials said that efforts are on to rescue some passengers trapped inside the coaches.The railways said that no casualties have been reported so far. It added that the coach of the train derailed half an hour after it left the Lahore railway station.
