Mohana: In a shocking incident, a youth was hacked to death on the suspicion of performing witchcraft. The incident happened in Rachaguda village under Mohana police station in Gajapati district of Odisha.The deceased has been identified as Gopal Malika. Merely on the suspicion of practising witchcraft, the villagers killed and threw him in the Harabhanga dam.According to information, a woman identified as Jhunu Mallick, the wife of Subash Mallick died due to some reason. Following her death, the villagers suspected that Gopal might have behind the death.He was staying at his in-law’s house in Goudagotha village in Ganjam district. The villagers kidnapped him from there and hacked him to death.On receiving information, police reached the spot and started an investigation into the matter. Police have detained some villagers and is enquiring.
