Allahabad, 19/12: In a major development the Allahabad High Court has stayed the arrest of Nadeem, a resident of Haridwar, who was accused in a case registered under the Love Jihad Prohibition Ordinance. The court has also directed not to take any torture action against him. This order has been given by the bench of Justice Pankaj Naqvi and Justice Vivek Agrawal. The court has referred to the issue of the constitutionality of the new ordinance to the Chief Justice. The Chief Justice is hearing public interest litigation filed against this ordinance.
