New Delhi, 20/12; In a recent development, World’s largest vaccine manufacturer company The Serum Institute of India has asked the government to protect the vaccine makers from lawsuits. SII’s CEO Adar Poonawala has asked the government to protect the vaccine makers from ‘frivolous claims’ especially during a pandemic.
Poonawala’s statement comes after a volunteer from Chennai has claimed to have suffered a number of side-effects after getting Oxford’s coronavirus vaccine. Adar Poonawalla said the government should protect manufacturers, especially vaccine manufacturers, against all lawsuits especially during a pandemic while speaking at the Global Technology Summit 2020.
