New Delhi, 25/1 (AO Burea) RJD supremo Lalu Yadav, admitted to Delhi AIIMS, has approached the Jharkhand High Court for an early hearing on bail. This case is related to the Dumka treasury. Lalu Yadav has been sentenced to 7 years in the Dumka treasury case by the CBI court. In such a situation, Lalu Yadav has been asked for bail from the High Court citing half the sentence and citing illness.
Let me tell you that Lalu Yadav has got punishment by the CBI court in four cases of fodder scam. He has got bail from the Jharkhand High Court in 3 of these cases. He will come out of jail as soon as he gets Bell in Dumka’s case.
Answer filed in High Court
In the Dumka case, on Monday, a reply was filed in the High Court on behalf of Lalu Yadav. His lawyer Devarshi Mandal filed an answer. In which it was told that on the orders of the court, the full report of Lalu’s stay in jail has been filed in the court. Lalu Yadav has spent 42 months and 23 days in jail in the Dumka treasury case, which is half the duration of the sentence. In such a situation, they should get bail.
