Bhubaneswar, 15/2 (AO Bureau): Ahead of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s visit to Rourkela, the state government has made a big announcement for western Odisha. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has doubled the WODC grant. The Chief Minister also announced the opening of WODC offices in 10 districts and Athamallik in western Odisha. The total budget for this has been increased from Rs 100 crore to Rs 200 crore.
Chief Minister Naveen has directed that projects under construction in western Odisha be completed within the stipulated time. “Education, infrastructure, irrigation, vegetables, and pulses will be given priority,” he said. The decision was taken by a high-level committee.
