New Delhi, 20/5 9AO Bureau): New ITR portal Launch: Taxpayers are going to get a new web portal very soon to file Income Tax Return. ITR filing on the new web portal will be easier and hassle-free. The Income Tax Department has issued an order regarding the new web portal.
New ITR portal will be launched on June 7
It has been said by the Income Tax Department that the existing web portal will be closed from June 1 to June 6 and a new income tax web portal for taxpayers will start from June 7. It has been told by the department’s system wing that the transition from the old portal www.incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in to the new web portal www.incometaxgov.in will be completed and will be operational from June 7, i.e. taxpayers will be able to file their returns.
Portal will not work until June 1-6
The Department has said that from June 1 to June 6, the old web portal www.incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in will neither be available for taxpayers nor for the officials of Income Tax Department. In the order, the Income Tax officials have been asked to set a date after June 10 for any hearing or redressal of the complaint, so that by then the taxpayers can understand the new system well. Also, any work scheduled between the taxpayer and the department official can be postponed or dealt with earlier.
