Bhubaneswar, 4/6 (Ao Bureau):The second wave of the Covid epidemic across the country has now created an unfortunate situation. Children’s education and people’s livelihoods have been the most affected. But above all, the protection of human life.
In this regard, Chief Minister Shri Naveen Patnaik has announced that the annual Class XII examination conducted by the Council for Higher Secondary Education has been canceled this year in view of the safety of students, teachers and parents. “Life is ahead, everything is behind,” he said. As long as life is safe, there will be eternal possibilities and society and civilization will move forward.
So the future of our country and our nation is much more important than the health and safety tests of our children. Students, teachers and parents would have been in a lot of trouble if they had been tested. The state government has therefore taken this important decision regarding the cancellation of exams in the greater interest of the student community, ”the chief minister said.
The Chief Minister lauded the efforts, determination and patience of the students and their family members in handling the situation at such a sensitive time.
The Chief Minister has directed that the Council of Higher Secondary Education, within the stipulated time by the Well Defined Objective Criteria, on the advice of the students in the Class XII, assess the competence of the students.
“If any students are not satisfied with the assessment, they can take the test if they want and the situation will be decided by the Higher Secondary Education Council,” he said.
