J&K, 2/7 (AO Bureau): Three Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists were killed in an encounter with security forces in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama on Friday, but the army’s operation is still going on. Inspector General of Police (IG) Kashmir, Vijay Kumar gave this information. An army jawan has also been martyred in the encounter. He said, “The district commander of terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba, Nishaj Lone and a Pakistani terrorist were killed in the ongoing encounter in Pulwama. A total of 5 terrorists have been killed in the encounter.
A police official said that after getting information about the presence of terrorists, security forces started a cordon and search operation in Hajin village of Rajpura in Pulwama district. The operation turned into an encounter as the terrorists opened fire on the security forces. The security forces also gave a befitting reply to the firing.
