New Delhi, 3/7 (AO Bureau):The central government hopes that the first consignment of the anti-coronavirus vaccine Moderna can reach India in the next few days. Sources gave this information to CNN-News18 on Saturday. All the vaccines are part of the global vaccination program ‘Kovax’ started by the World Health Organization (WHO) and under this preparations are being made to give modern vaccine to India. ‘Kovax’ is a global initiative under which efforts are being made to give the vaccine of Kovid-19 quickly and equally to all countries irrespective of income level.
Official sources had told on June 29 that the Drug Controller General of India (DCGI) has given permission to Mumbai-based pharmaceutical company Cipla to import Moderna’s Kovid-19 vaccine for emergency use. Moderna’s vaccine will be the fourth COVID-19 vaccine to be available in India after Covishield, Covaccine and Sputnik.
