Dubai, 6/10: Since the resumption of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 in the UAE, India’s 15-member squad for the T20 World Cup 2021 has been the subject of discussion. Ishaan Kishan, Suryakumar Yadav, Varun Chakraborty etc will feature in their first ICC event for ‘Men in Blue’. At the same time, some other stars like Shardul Thakur, Deepak Chahar, Sanju Samson etc. have been kept out of the roster of this big tournament. Although, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) may make some changes in the final squad by 10 October, but no such indication has been given by the board yet.
Despite no indication of any change in the World Cup squad from the BCCI, fans and experts have continued to voice their opinion on possible changes. Former England captain Michael Vaughan has talked about the inclusion of Shardul Thakur in the Indian team for the T20 World Cup. He feels that Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni (MS Dhoni) will also talk to India captain Virat Kohli as well as head coach Ravi Shastri about this.
