He has a very good fan following because of his funny posts. This time Anand Mahindra tweeted saying that he does not deserve the Padma Bhushan award. Actually, Anand Mahindra has been honored with the Padma Bhushan award, India’s third highest civilian honor on Monday.

Mahindra retweeted a post shared by the President’s official Twitter account about Karnataka environmentalist and Padma Shri winner Tulsi Gowda. Mahindra said in a tweet, “This government has made a long-pending, transformative change in the nature of Padma awardees. Now the focus is mainly on the individuals who have made a fundamental contribution in the improvement of the society at the grassroots level. I didn’t really feel eligible to join their ranks.”
In another tweet, Anand Mahindra wrote, “Thank you all for your congratulations on my Padma Bhushan award. There is an old saying – if you see a turtle over a fence, you know for sure that it will not get there on its own. I stand on the shoulders of all Mahindraites.”
