New Delhi, 8/12: Defense Minister Rajnath Singh informed Prime Minister Narendra Modi about the helicopter crash in Coonoor, Tamil Nadu. After this an emergency meeting of the Union Cabinet has been called. Let us tell you that on Wednesday, an army helicopter crashed between Coimbatore and Sulur in which 14 people were on board. Chief of Defense Staff Bipin Rawat, his wife and other employees related to defense affairs were present in this.
According to news agency ANI, 3 people are seriously injured who were sent to the hospital. Emergency team is on the spot. The Mi-series helicopter that crashed between Coimbatore and Sulur has crashed.
A total of 14 people were on board the helicopter, including Chief of Defense Staff General Bipin Rawat, his wife, defense assistants, security commandos and Air Force pilots. An IAF Mi-17V5 helicopter carrying CDS General Bipin Rawat met with an accident today near Coonoor in Tamil Nadu, the Indian Air Force said in a statement soon after the accident. An inquiry has been ordered to ascertain the cause of the accident.
