Minister Parmar said that we will give priority to discipline. There will be a dress code for all the students in the school. The School Education Department will issue guidelines for this. From the next academic session, we will send the information about the dress code so that there is a sense of equality among all the students.

Politics continues on hijab in Karnataka. On the new dress code, Education Minister Inder Singh Parmar said, “We are considering a new dress code to ensure equality and discipline in schools. Equality is necessary in the society. This will create a distinct identity of the schools. For that we are going to decide the dress code for all the students. Work is going on on this. The situation will become clear in the coming few days.”

In response to the question whether the hijab will be banned, Education Minister Parmar said, “We will not be allowed to wear a different dress than the dress code that will be decided. What is allowed for the student, only that will be allowed to wear. When asked whether it is wrong to come to school wearing a hijab? To this she said, “I don’t mean hijab but any kind of dress which is not prescribed for school.”
