Uttarakhand, 12/1:In the midst of the stirring of the Uttarakhand Assembly Elections 2022, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has made a big announcement regarding the Uniform Civil Code. He announced that immediately after the formation of the BJP government in the state, the exercise of implementing Uniform Civil Code would be started.
According to news agency ANI, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that a committee will be formed to draft a Uniform Civil Code (UCC) in the state immediately after the new BJP government is sworn in in the state. He said that this UCC will provide uniform laws regarding marriage, divorce, land-property and inheritance for all people, irrespective of their religion
