Assam, 12/2:Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has again attacked Congress leader Rahul Gandhi by calling him a ‘modern Jinnah’. Referring to Rahul Gandhi’s recent speeches in Parliament, including a scathing attack on the BJP, Sarma said it was as if “Jinnah’s ghost has entered his body”. Attacked to demand proof of surgical strike. He said this in an election rally of BJP in Uttarakhand.
Now, explaining his remarks on the Congress leader, the Assam Chief Minister has compared Rahul Gandhi to Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the founder of Pakistan. Sarma said that Rahul Gandhi’s language and rhetoric is exactly the same as that of Jinnah before 1947. In a way, Rahul Gandhi is a modern Jinnah, he said. The main opposition Congress in Assam had criticized Sarma, saying he had tarnished the image of the state with his vulgar remarks.
